Polyunsaturated fatty acids are found in fish and vegetable oil, among other things. You increase the amount of Omega 3 in your diet, for example, by using linseed oil instead of olive oil or by eating fish regularly. Especially so-called alpha-linolenic acid – an Omega 3 fatty acid – is particularly healthy because it contributes to a functioning metabolism.
Dull, lustreless hair may be an indication of an Omega 3 fatty acid deficiency. In this case, you should watch for a balanced diet and compensate your balance of essential fatty acids.
